Guns are specifically designed for big, powerful waves. Paddle speed is important for positioning and early wave catching. Boards for big waves need to handle steep drops and often big waves have wind and chop affected surface conditions. Guns must be able to hold an edge well in critical situations and cope with surface disturbance. This particular board is fairly high volume to give it some serious paddle speed. It has generous rocker throughout to handle steep drops. The wood construction ensures it will hold a good line in the face and have plenty of pace to get you down the line.
